Science Vision

At Parkhill, our vision is to give every child a broad and balanced science curriculum which is enriched with real life science opportunities. Where children’s, curiosity and science questions are welcomed and children have the skills, and expertise to answer them.   Our goal is for every child, regardless of starting point, to develop the expertise to talk and approach tasks like a scientist. To understand how science has changed our lives and to have a global outlook on how science is vital to the world’s future prosperity.

(Article 13 You have the right to find out things and share what you think with others.)

Through high quality teaching we will develop the essential characteristics of scientists:

  • Excellent scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics
  • An understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science through different types of science enquiries that help them to answer scientific questions about the world around them
  • Equipped with the scientific knowledge required to understand the uses and implications of science, today and for the future
